Virtual After School

Virtual events have no limitt on the number of students because the students can all be social distanced in the cafeteria, in many differnt calssrooms at once or all at home with their families. However, there is a minimum of 30 students for virtual events. The cost ranges from $25 to $35 depending on the distance from Fresno. See the price list by district at the bottom of the page.

I will make painting kits/drawing kits for your students and deliver them to your school site. Schedule a day for me to drop them off before a pick up day. The painting kits will include a disposable apron and table cover (cut ithe table cover in half for the table and  floor), custom paints, brushes, cardboard easel, canvas and napkins. The drawing kits contain a $20 drawing kit with 19 color pencils, 6 sketching pencils, 10 soft pastels, blending stumps, sharpener, 2 erasers, 6x8 drawing pad AND a 50 page 9x12 drawing pad. The students will keep all the supplies.

To create an invoice (Quote) I need: the date (see online calendar), time, number of students, painting chosen (see online gallery), the name and email of site lead and program specialist. After the event, please sign and submit the PO to the program specialist to ensure timely payment. Acceptance of the invoice and reserving your event on The Artist In Me calendar is a contractual commitment and a 15% cancellation fee is mandatory if it is cancelled 14 days prior to the event.

The school provides the zoom, teams or google classroom link since i can't make sure all cameras are on, muted, answer chats and still teach at the same time. Google classroom requires a school credential so I can see the gallery. Send the invite with the school name in the subject so I can find it in my emails.

The students should practice assembling their own easle the day before to make it easier to set up day of the class and make sure we start and end on time. Here is a video of the video instructing how to assemble thecardboard easel. https://youtu.be/5qmLHAaPc5Q

The younger grades (K-2) do well with simpler paintings like: The Beach, Fireflies, Big Butterfly, Cupcake, Big Rainbow Tree, Dragon's Eye, and Amethyst in a Jar.

The students need to be at least 5 years old (end of kindergarten) so they possess the developmental and attention skills needed to be successful. The students should be able to write legibly for hand and eye coordination and follow directions for two hours.

Plan at least 30 min before class to log in and to set up easles and make sure the virtual system is working (plenty of time to call the IT guy).

Pixie is a credentialed master teacher of 27 years with certificates in early childhood, art, and special education. She will provide a high energy, informative instruction so all your students will be successful. It is still the in class teachers walking around assisting students in person who will really help the students produce beautiful art everyone will be proud of.
